1. Flush DNS

  1. Simply press the Window + R on the keyboard to open the run command.
  2. Type the code below and press Enter key to access command prompt:
    cmd.exe

    ipconfig / flushdns
    dns server might be unavailable
  4. After that, type in this next command and press Enter:
    ipconfig / release
  5. Having done that, type in this third command and press Enter:
    ipconfig / renew

2. Reset Router

  1. First ensure the router is working properly.
  2. Then, check to see if the internet is working or not.
  3. After that, check that the router LEDs is indicating correctly or not.
  4. Then restart the router by either using the power keys, deactivate the direct switch or use router settings.

The Wi-Fi router can sometimes create those types of internet connection problems on your computer. One of the solutions is to reset the router once granted you are sure that it is working. If not, you should restart the router by turning off the router or unplugging it.

3. Clear your DNS cache

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the run prompt.
  2. Type in cmd in the text box and press Enter.

  3. When the Command Prompt window opens, type the following command and press Enter:
    ipconfig / flushdns
    dns server might be unavailable

If executed correctly, you should get a success message – Successful flushing of DNS resolver cache. This will hopefully resolve the DNS unavailable issue.

4. Register DNS and renew IP

  1. Press the Windows + R keys to open the run prompt window.
  2. Enter cmd into the text box and press Enter.

  3. In command window, type the following commands. And then press Enter after each command.
    • To register DNS, use this command:
      ipconfig / registerdns
      dns server might be unavailable
    • To renew IP, use these two commands:
      ipconfig / release

      ipconfig / renewal

    • To reset Winsock, enter this command:
      netsh winsock reset
      dns server might be unavailable
