Why does OneDrive keep having sync issues?

A variety of different factors can cause OneDrive sync issues. It is essential to realize that this may include poor internet connection and many other reasons.

These reasons may include the following:

  • Insufficient storage: File size you want to synch should not be larger than the available storage space on the local device, or OneDrive will not be able to sync.
  • Network connection: If your network connection is weak or unstable, OneDrive may struggle to sync files. OneDrive sync may also be pending.
  • Firewall settings: If your firewall settings are blocking OneDrive from accessing the internet, it will be unable to sync.
  • Outdated version of OneDrive: If your OneDrive is not up to date, it may not be able to sync properly.
