In the expanding realm of crypto, you may argue that things are out of control. Elon Musk, The “Doge King”, making an interesting SNL plug, gangs of cryptobros terrorizing the financial markets, and who could ever forget classic internet memes selling for millions, young TikTokers urging their huge followers to make large crypto investments; as long as it isn’t financial advice it is fine.
For some, it’s a fad, for others, it’s a revolution, but there’s no doubting the hoopla is justified. Reality is rapidly becoming decentralized and digitized. In no time, buying your weekly groceries, paying for a musical ticket, or even negotiating your monthly utility will be in bitcoin or some other cryptocurrency.
But in this wild Crypto rollercoaster, who do you turn to, especially with an oversaturated social media space driven by hordes of self-proclaimed “investment experts” and crypto influencers handing out questionable advice?
Top Crypto Influencers of 2022
An important note before proceeding – This list was not the easiest to compile, and I have intentionally stayed clear of crypto founders and CEOs and focused more on influencers who made a name from social media.
1. Ben Armstrong – BitBoy Crypto
If you ask why he comes first on my list, here is a pointer. For the second year in a row, Ben Armstrong and his crew won six of the ten categories given out at last year’s Blockchain Influencer Awards, including Best Daily Show (Around the Blockchain), Funniest, and Most Educational influencer. As of the time of writing this article, his YouTube channel is 1.45 million subscribers strong, and he has a Twitter followership of 819K.
He has had a very successful online career in the crypto niche and has given thousands an accessible introduction to the world of cryptocurrency. If nothing else, his opening lines are pretty catchy, and you may see yourself repeating the words with him as he opens the show – “Welcome to BitBoy Crypto! The people’s channel, home of the BitSquad, the largest and greatest crypto community in all of the Interwebs.“
2. Ran NeuNer – Crypto Banter
Ran Neuner and his team, most notably Sheldon “The Sniper,” make this list as the best go-to for a crypto newbie. The duo has made a name for their work in crypto education, with their online “academy” that gives for free all the valuable tips on making money in crypto.
While Crypto Banter is often discussed in the light of pushing for some of the riskiest investments or trades, in reality, they maintain that every portfolio should be made up of 50% HODL coins (Bitcoin, Eth, Cardano, and other established top 10 projects), 35% 10X gems, and 15% degen (high-risk high reward projects).
The influence of Crypto Banter, however, goes beyond education. They are famous for their giveaways on live shows and boast of having given away as much as $20 Million to followers—little wonder why they are one of the fastest-growing and most interactive crypto YouTube channels.
3. Aaron & Austin Arnold – Altcoin Daily
The sibling duo started the YouTube channel in 2018 and has seen it grow 1.2 million subscribers strong as at the time of writing this article.
“In whatever job I do, I always bring three character traits to the table: tenacity, a pro-active attitude, and a relentless ability to solve problems.” – This quote from Aaron makes it less of a wonder that they have had this much success with their influence in the crypto sphere.
Subscribers of the channel are treated to at least one video every day, where they learn about bitcoin, altcoins, and the latest news in the crypto sphere.
4. Lark Davis
Lark Davis is an excellent option if you’re searching for a YouTuber who analyzes price action and fundamentals. You can rest confident that you’ll be studying from someone with a lot of knowledge, as the YouTuber has spent several years in bitcoin and stock markets.
For investors who want to leap immediately into the crypto markets, Lark Davis offers tutorials on his YouTube channel. The channel may assist with instructions on Ethereum staking for interest, Binance Exchange how-tos, and buying Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC).
